kosher dining

proudly serving kosher

It is our priority that all students feel comfortable at Clark, and ensuring kosher food is readily available to our students makes Clark a more accessible and welcoming home to our Jewish community.

Harvest Table offers kosher dining options on campus under the supervision of the Worcester Vaad Ha’ir, Worcester Jewish Community Committee, and complies with all kosher requirements. Certification is issued by Rabbi Yakov Blotner.

Meals are prepared fresh and on-site by Chef Sylvia Avinoam and her staff. They work incredibly hard to make sure the kosher food is delicious and flavorful.

Kosher Shabbat and holiday meals

Shabbat

Clark University Hillel caters and hosts Friday night Shabbat dinners weekly throughout the academic year, along with student-led Friday night Kabbalat Shabbat services. These are followed by the traditional blessings and a delicious meal. All Shabbat meals come from Clark Dining Service’s Kosher Catering program. Dinners include a choice of a meat entrée and a vegetarian entrée, a starch, and vegetables, and are accompanied by fun kosher desserts and snacks. These dinners are free for all students.

Holidays

Clark University Hillel sponsors (no charge for students) holidays meals such as for High Holidays, Sukkot, Hanukkah, Purim, and Passover Seders. These are always certified kosher. See the Clark U Hillel website for more information regarding holidays.

Hear from our students!

“Having reliable kosher meals available allows me to spend less time worrying about meals, and gives me more time focusing on academics, community, and making the most of my college experience. I’m truly grateful.”

  • Naomi, Class of 2028

“The kosher kitchen was a huge reason for why I chose to attend Clark. Not only is the food delicious, but it helps to make sure that dining on campus is accessible for Jewish students who keep kosher.”

  • Jacob, Class of 2026
